This program applies to products purchased on or after January 1, 2023, for a period of two years from the date of purchase, while items bought prior to this date are not subject to the two-year limit but remain under other program guidelines. Customers can submit a replacement request through the Shady Rays Lost & Broken Replacement Program portal at protect.shadyrays.com, where they may request up to two replacements of the same product within the coverage period, provided that supplies are available. Requests may require proof of purchase and photographs showing the damage, and a processing fee applies to each replacement based on the type of product and the customer’s shipping address. Standard U.S. processing fees are $14.89 for original and pro-lens sunglasses, and $22.89 for premium products such as Colorush, SR Fish, and SR Golf sunglasses, as well as broken snow goggle frames.
The program covers sunglasses, sunglass readers, snow goggles, snow goggle lenses, React frames and lenses, and Green Wolf sunglasses, with distinctions between items covered for damage versus loss. Certain items are excluded, including final sale or outlet eyewear, prescription lenses and frames outside the two-year window, lost snow goggles or lenses, blue light glasses, and products purchased from unauthorized retailers. Customers seeking replacements for discontinued or sold-out styles will be offered a comparable item.
In addition to the Lost & Broken Replacement Program, Shady Rays provides a Limited Craftsmanship Warranty that protects against defects in materials or workmanship for sunglasses, blue light glasses, snow goggles, React frames and lenses, prescription frames, and related accessories. Coverage lasts two years from purchase, with lens scratches or coating issues covered for one year. Claims are submitted online via the Shady Rays warranty portal, and if a defect is verified, Shady Rays will replace the item at no additional cost.
Prescription eyewear is also supported with a Two-Year Broken Prescription Replacement Program, which covers frames and lenses damaged within two years of purchase. Customers can receive one replacement for lenses and up to two replacements for frames, with valid proof of purchase and a current prescription required. A processing fee is applicable—$15.89 for broken frames only and $53.89 for other prescription replacements. Additionally, the One-Year Scratch Protection program allows for one free repair of scratched prescription lenses within the first year of ownership. Customers must submit a request online and may need to provide photos of the damage.
